Two teams look to save their season after atrocious starts in the 2013 NFL regular season. The New York Giants visit the Carolina Panthers Sunday and both teams are looking to get out of a 0-2 hole.

The visiting Giants opened the season with a 31-36 road loss to the Dallas Cowboys and then couldn't handle the red-hot Denver Broncos in a 41-23 loss in Week 2.

Meanwhile, the Panthers lost a low-scoring game against the Seattle Seahawks, 7-12 in their home opener and fell versus the Buffalo Bills on the road in another close affair, 23-24 in Week 2.

Both teams’ struggles can be pointed to one particular aspect: quarterback play.

Giants’ quarterback Eli Manning has 7 interceptions against 5 touchdowns so far this season. Manning’s total pick-offs is the league-worst in that category through two weeks. Meanwhile, Panthers’ QB Cam Newton has only 354 total yards, ranked 28th among all quarterbacks in the league.

While both teams are at 0-2, New York has seen the worst with the pair of blowout losses. Carolina has been more competitive in their games—they had the lead against the Seahawks in the 4th quarter and lost the game versus the Bills with two seconds to go in the game.
