Van Quai Tran is among the names found in the 2011 list of Most Wanted Men in New South Wales.

Tran is facing charges of engaging in sexual activity with his unwilling victim, drink spiking, and sexual and physical assaults. The man who has been running from the police since July 2010 finally surrendered to the police today, according to the AAP.

Referred to by other news sources as a "sex predator," Tran, as reported in the Daily Telegraph is also said to be known by as Brian Williams or "Uncle".

The now 46 year old man from Bonnyrigg Heights is a suspect in the sexual assault case involving a teenager. However, he was also served a separate warrant for a similar offense made against another victim.

Tran, who was accompanied by his solicitor when he submitted himself to the authorities has been questioned and refused bail.

He was remanded in custody and is ordered to reappear before the Campbelltown Local Court in August.

His wife, Thi Thu Houng Mai refused to cooperate with the authorities by withholding information that can help trace her husband's whereabouts. In January 2012, she was charged for the offenses of hindering a police investigation as well as for preventing the course of justice.

Tran's arrest made NSW free of at least one notorious man roaming freely within the neighbourhood. But if you want to help keep the state safe as possible, you can report helpful information to the police.

The NSW police force displays on their web site, the names and pictures of men and women charged and convicted for different offenses. Rewards which an informant can receive from helping the authorities solve pending cases are also shown.

People are encouraged to tell the authorities what they know for such an action can significantly contribute to making the state a better living environment for everyone.
