Arsenal attacker Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is happy to finally see teammate Theo Walcott wearing the Gunners uniform on the pitch after remaining sidelined for quite some time.

The 25-year-old had a good ten-minute run, coming on as a substitute on the 80th minute, against Burnley last Saturday that ended in a 3-0 victory.

"I'm absolutely over the moon to see him back," Oxlade-Chamberlain told Arsenal.com.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, like Walcott, is also a product of the famed Saints Academy of Southampton FC, which boasts of several top-class graduates like Gareth Bale and Luke Shaw. He admitted that the England international played a big part in his transition from the Welsh club.

"He's been a massive part of my career since I've been at Arsenal and a big inspiration for me as my mentor, so to see him injured for as long as he was upsetting and disappointing," he intimated.

"What was better than that, though, was that I saw how professional he was throughout and how positive he stayed, so there's nobody that deserves success more than he does."

"I'm really happy to see him back and he deserves every success in the rest of the season. I'm sure he's going to help us."

With the Gunners picking up full points in their last two outings in the Premier League and currently sitting fourth on the table, Oxlade-Chamberlain is optimistic that something good is bound to happen for the north London outfit.

"We're coming towards a busy Christmas and New Year schedule where anything can happen. We've got a lot of games coming up and we've built up a nice bit of momentum with a few good results, so we need to keep building on that."
