Manchester United loanee striker Radamel Falcao has reportedly agreed to stay at Old Trafford on a permanent basis upon expiration of his season-long loan.

According to Goal.com, the Colombian predator will leave his mother club, AS Monaco, in the summer transfer window for £44million, while retaining his weekly wage of £240,000 as a Red Devil.

The 28-year-old Santa Marta native joined the Principality club in July 2013 for around £53million from Atletico Madrid, but has apparently found the offer from United too good to refuse.

He has yet to make the impact expected of him in terms of putting the ball at the back of the net, tallying just a goal in 5 Premier League appearances (3 starts), but has, nevertheless, remained a threat going forward and has shown that he can also turn provider, as shown by his assists against Leicester City and West Ham.

Meanwhile, he is accused to be a mercenary, choosing to suit up for a side that can offer him the best deal.

Juventus managing director Giuseppe Moratta has recently revealed that the Bianconeri was set to snatch Falcao last summer before the Red Devils stepped in.

"We were following him and there was contact," Marotta told RAI TV.

"We were very close to (signing) Falcao and the player preferred Italy and our colours, but then United came forward and they have much more spending power than we do so the deal broke down."
