Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has penned a new four-year deal that will see him wear the Gunners shirt until June 2018, according to The Mirror.

The 28-year-old Frenchman moved to the Emirates in 2012 from Montpellier and has a current contract that is set to expire in two years, as the north Londoners have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.

He has gone on to score 27 goals in his first two seasons in the Premier League, while pairing it with 14 assists. However, an ankle injury has kept him on the sidelines since the last week of August, hindering him to carry on with his fine form.

Meanwhile, a concerted effort have kept Arsenal, who are occupying the fourth spot of the domestic table, from dropping more points, as attackers Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez, among others, have supplied them with goals.

They will be hosting Galatasaray on Wednesday for a Champions League clash and will be visiting Stamford Bridge at the weekend to face top-flight frontrunners Chelsea.
