The protagonists of the 2013 World Series' share more than one thing in common. Both have identical 97-65 records, both are the best teams in their divisions and leagues and both won their league championship series four games to two.

Both teams are also loaded at every position. Their pitchers comprise a nice mix of both veterans and up-and-coming talent, their managers are among the best in the industry and their outfielders are excellent defenders and talented sluggers. If there is anything that the post-season is proving, it is that the Major League might just be a outfielders' league.

St. Louis Cardinals
Outfielders

3 Carlos Beltrán
56 Adron Chambers
7 Matt Holliday
19 Jon Jay
43 Shane Robinson

One name stands out from the Cardinals outfield: Carlos Beltran. The veteran Puerto Rican has a career batting average of .283, 2,228 hits, 46 doubles, 358 home runs, 1,327 RBIs and 308 stolen bases. He is also an eight-time All-Star and a member of the 30-30 Club, that exclusive group of which Barry Bonds and Hank Aaron are members.

And, as if to prove that some people can do just about anything, Beltran has won the Gold Glove Award thrice and the Fielding Bible Award twice, as a member of the New York Mets.

Boston Red Sox
Outfielders

•50 Quintin Berry
•37 Mike Carp
• 2 Jacoby Ellsbury
• 5 Jonny Gomes
•29 Daniel Nava
•18 Shane Victorino

Victorino is best known as the hero of Sunday's Game Six where he hit a grand slam to seal the victory for the Red Sox. The native of Maui, Hawaii, has a .277 batting average, 106 home runs, 470 RBIs, and 222 stolen bases over a ten-year career. He is also a three-time Gold Glove Award winner as an outfielder and has 24 career outfield assists.

Curiously, both Beltran and Victorino were winners of Golden Gloves in 2008; it was Beltran's last award and Victorino's first. But whatever the outcome is, baseball fans are in for a battle of the outfield as they are also assured of sluggers trading hits.
