Liverpool is on a hunt for a new striker and rumours spread like wildfire regarding who will be the chosen one. There are names on the loose but reports have it that Liverpool has spotted West Brom striker Saido Berahino for the spot. For Liverpool, he seemed to be the man for the job. He is in fact considered as "the man to cure the lack of goals up top."

According to reports, a staggering 23 million pounds value transfer to Liverpool awaits for the striker Saido Berahino. However, Reds supporters don't seem to like this transfer proposal of Berahino to Liverpool. The 21-year-old's transfer has been put suspended, if not put to naught, because Reds supporters don't like to buy the idea itself.

TalkSPORT chose at least five alternative strikers who can possibly replace the West Brom striker and who can possibly make the Reds supporters happy. Here are the five possible alternatives according to TalkSPORT.

First, Ezequiel Lavezzi. The Word Cut star is wanted by Inter Milan too and has been rumoured to be on loan at Paris Saint Germain. The transfer price of the forward is rumoured to be around 8 million pounds. He is also very keen to be up for grabs to play in the Premier League.

Second, Alexanre Lacazette, the goal machine at Lyon's Ligue 1. He is the right man if the goal is to goal. The goal machine is not labelled as such if not for his impressive scores: 17 goals in 19 games all in favour of Lyon in France. He's worth around 15 million pounds.

Third, Mauro Icardi. He is considered as Inter's rising star and has seen as a beacon of hope for manager Mancini to strengthen his squad and drum up business when a Premier League club takes Icardi. However, the price involved seems pretty steep, 25 million pounds considering the rising star has only played top level football.

Fourth, Wilfried Bony, who is currently valued at 25 million pounds. He's got his Premier League track record for scoring 20 times in 2014 to back him up.

Lastly, Evinson Cavani, the supreme striker whose current value is at 50 million pounds. He has scored 23 times in 45 games held in France and won the golden boot in the 2012/13 season.
