These past few days have been filled with rumours and speculations concerning buying who and who gets to sign up who. As January is fast approaching and new transfer windows are created, coaches eyeing players whose contracts are about to expire are racing towards a buy in and a newly inked deal. This seemed to be the common buzz these past few days. For Arsene Wenger, Loic Perrin is worth 6 million pounds.

Rumours about a coach offering a sign up price for a player is no news anymore. Nonetheless, the social media don't take heed to anyone, and rumours do spread like wildfire. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is not a spared soul to these kinds of rumours. First is the rumour that Wenger is up to offer 6 million pounds for Paris Saint Germain striker Edison Cavani to which the Arsenal boss do not give importance to. According to him, these kinds of rumours happen every day.

From Wenger's statement and attitude towards speculations and rumours, it would be easy to tell when Wenger is serious about getting a player from another team or retaining one. Recently, Arsenal is reported to make a surprise move for St. Ettiene defender and captain Loic Perrin following January transfers, when windows are already open.

If there is one thing that the Arsenal boss is so keen to have on his team, that would be versatility and defence, which are the same qualities he finds in Perrin. Hence, the team currently valued 29-year old at an amount close to 6 million pounds.

Arsenal boss Wenger well noted how Perrin performed really well at the centre of the defence in the Ligue 1 side. Wenger is confident that Perrin can also play really great at right back considering how he also played in defensive midfield for St. Ettiene.

This surprise move by the Arsenal boss is apparently to give the team proper positioning advantage at its back considering how a series of injury at the back has been affecting greatly Arsenal's performance. Truly, someone like Perrin to add to the team would give Arsenal leverage to avoid future injuries especially during Premier League season's second half. The 6 million pounds bid for Perrin is waiting for him come January's open as reported by the Daily Mirror.
