Walker Kessler had 13 points and eight rebounds, and Ziaire Williams scored 11.
Blazers' sharp shooting

Five Portland players scored in double figures, and the Blazers' bench outscored the Lakers' reserves 48-33. Doncic returned from the bench and sparked a Lakers rally. Williams also helped keep Los Angeles within reach.
Lillard and Avdija answered with back-to-back 3-pointers. Morant then hit two midrange jumpers to give Portland a five-point lead.
Lillard sealed the win with his fourth 3-pointer of the night. He struggled at the free-throw line, missing four foul shots, but delivered when it mattered. The Blazers closed the game on a 15-8 run and outscored the Lakers 34-26 in the fourth quarter.

Lakers' defensive concerns
Despite shooting 56% from the field and 17 of 43 from 3-point range, the Lakers could not slow Portland's offense. They committed 15 turnovers, which led to 19 Portland points.
Los Angeles had opened the season with wins over the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Utah Jazz.
