Manchester United striker Radamel is hoping that he will remain at Old Trafford on a permanent basis after his season-long loan stint expires.

The Colombian international moved to England after just spending a year with AS Monaco, perhaps realizing the difference in exposure of the grander Premier League vis-à-vis the Ligue 1 at this point in time.

"In terms of my thoughts and plans for the future, I want to stay at Manchester United for the coming years," the 28-year-old told Onda Cero.

The former Atletico Madrid man has only found the back of the net once wearing the famed red shirt, revealing that he is still in the process of getting to his peak after going down with a cruciate ligament injury in the knee last January.

"I'm still going to need some time to be ok, but I am feeling very comfortable and very good on the pitch, in harmony with myself, with the ball and with football," he added.

Meanwhile, he is thankful for the opportunity that the Red Devils hierarchy have given him in spite of his circumstances.

"Manchester United were the ones that gambled on me when it was very difficult to do so. It has been a very difficult year, not just in my professional career," he intimated.

"What happened at the start of the year [serious knee injury] affected me in every way, but it has also helped me grow as a human being, to think about many things, to mature."
