Eighteen-year-old Jack Greenslade of New Plymouth was found guilty of filming his friend having sex with a drunk 17-year-old girl and then posting the video on Facebook similar to that video which exposed the victim to shame.

The incident has shades of the Roastbusters scandal in November 2013, also in New Zealand, where teen drunk females are filmed having sex and shamed later by identifying them on Facebook.

However, despite his offence, Mr Greenslade actually got away with a tap on the wrist since Judge Allan Roberts sentenced him only to 125 hours community service, grounded him at home at nights for four months, had him pay the girl $5,000 damage and had his phone confiscated.

The youth got a light sentence because his lawyer was backed up by a psychologists report that rugby injuries on the head sustained by Mr Greenslade as a player in New Plymouth Boys' High School caused depression that affect the teen's judgment.

The incident happened in November when Mr Greenslade walked into a bedroom with the camera on his mobile phone running. He initially shot the video of one male friend having sex with the girl, while another friend was sleeping on the bed.

After a few minutes, he returned and found the two men and the woman in a tryst, filmed them and posted the videos the following day on a private FB page.

The poor girl, because of the video, lost friends, was talked about in social media and was labeled a cheap woman.

While Mr Greenslade, who is now sorry for what he did, is off with a light sentence, the two male friends are facing rape charges but have filed not guilty pleas. There is no trial date set yet for the rape charges.
