Liverpool are reportedly interested in Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, according to the latest transfer rumours.

French media outlet L’Equipe reported that Liverpool and rival club Everton are both monitoring Kimpembe in the Ligue 1 side. The 20-year-old French made his debut with PSG early this season and has played five times for the French giants.

The Reds have also secured defender Jon Flanagan until 2019 after the English international completed a three-year extension to stay at Anfield. The 23-year-old Flanagan returned to action this season after being sidelined for 20 months due to an injury sustained in 2014. He has made five appearances for Liverpool ever since his return from the setback.

“It’s brilliant – it’s something I’ve always wanted to do since I was a child,” Flanagan said, reports Liverpool’s official website. “I think this is my third professional contract with Liverpool now, so I’m really happy.”

“I’ve been through a lot in the last two years with the injury, and maybe a few people thought my future was in doubt, but I’ve worked hard and this is a bonus at the end of it.”

In another report, Liverpool have also been linked with a free transfer for Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli. The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and the Reds are one of the teams interested to acquire the Algerian international on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, Burnley chief executive Dave Baldwin believes the tribunal fee Liverpool will pay for Danny Ings could be the biggest in history. Ings, who joined Liverpool on a free transfer in the summer, has failed to agree a fee with the Merseyside outfits.

“The reason it is different to the ordinary is this tribunal claim will be the biggest in history,” Burnley said, reports Express. “The key to this was that we bring the claim against Liverpool, therefore we had to prepare an extremely robust case.”
