The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported receiving a sickening video from the Islamic State militants fighting in Syria and Iraq, or ISIS, of a young woman being stoned to death by a group of men for alleged adultery. Her father was included among those who stoned her.

A veiled woman was shown in the video begging her father forgiveness over what she had done. She was seen standing in front of a group of men. One of those men was the head of a Sharia council within the new Islamic State. The video showed him lecturing the other women the importance of being faithful to one's husband. He then announces the council has passed a stoning sentence for the woman's crime. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, this is the third stoning sentence that the ISIS has carried out.

Addressing the woman, the head of the Sharia council told her that her punishment will serve as a warning for other women in the caliphate. "This punishment is the result of the actions you did with your own free will."

All these happened while the woman's father looked at the proceedings. She was seen crying and asking her father's forgiveness. But he refused. He even tells her, "I am not your father anymore."

He then turns to the militants nearby, signaling the start of his own daughter's brutal execution. He even helped in tying his daughter's arms and legs, and then assisted in burying her from the neck down in sand.

The group then starts to pelt the helpless woman with rocks. Then the most shocking happened. The father, carrying a large stone, approached the pit and threw it towards his daughter. The Daily Mail said he has been afforded the barbaric "honour" of ending his daughter's life over her alleged crime.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights believed the footage was taken in the Syrian city of Hama. It could not, however, confirm the date of the stoning. The five minute video had been taken down from YouTube.

In July, the ISIS reportedly stoned to death two women over allegations of adultery. A month later, a young man was likewise stoned to death in the Iraqi city of Mosul, also because of adultery.
