The San Francisco 49ers lost to the Seattle Seahawks via a 29-3 blowout in Sunday’s NFL Week 2 game. The 49ers suffered their first loss this season but San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick also lost his eyebrow because of an apparent bet with Seattle’s Russell Wilson.

Kaepernick has no one else to blame for losing his eyebrow. The Seahawks completely dismantled him and the 49ers by forcing them to commit five turnovers, including three interceptions from the third-year quarterback.

How badly did Kaepernick play? The star quarterback’s interception in this game matched his total INT in the 2012 season. After two weeks, Kaepernick’s quarterback rating dropped to 14.0—the lowest in any of his starts in his career. It was also the first time in 12 starts that Kaepernick did not have a completed pass from 15-plus yards attempts.

The effort was a far cry from his Week 1’s stats of 412 yards and 3 touchdowns.

How badly did the 49ers play? This is only third time since 1979 that the franchise failed to get a touchdown in a game.

Kaepernick’s chance for redemption against Wilson’s Seahawks will be on December 8, 2013 for the second meeting between the NFC West rivals.

Wilson actually ended up with one of the worst games in his career with just 142 yards (8-of-19 completions) but thanks to their defense, he has his eyebrows intact.
