After a long wait, the Huawei Watch will be available in Western Europe. The entry-level device will start from £289 (AU$615) for a silver model with a leather band.

In the UK, customers can buy the Huawei Watch from VMall, the official online store of Huawei; at the Google Store and Selfridges. By the end of November, the classic watch will be available at other stores.

The various models with unique design features can be still pre-ordered from VMall. Other models like the stainless steel mesh, link band and black model with a leather band will cost £329 (AU$700). According to Wearable, the incredibly stylish top-end rose gold model will come with a price tag of £599 (AU$1,274).

Powered by Android Wear, the fully circular 1.4-inch touch-sensitive Amoled display is crafted with sapphire crystal, which is scratch-proof. The body has a crown at 2 o'clock position and adorns a cold-forged 316L stainless steel frame which makes it 40 per cent harder.

The display screen has a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels that comes to 286 pixels per inch and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. The vibrant and elegant watch comes preloaded with 40 watch faces. The IP67 certified watch is also waterproof.

The smartwatch touts an accelerometer, heart rate monitor and 6-Axis motion sensors. The Huawei Watch houses a 300 mAh unit which requires 75 minutes of charging time to fully juice up the device. The company claims that the battery is good enough to keep the watch on for two days. The watch runs on a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 512MB of RAM

Huawei unveiled the classic timepiece at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015 in Barcelona. The Huawei Watch can be paired with both Android smartphone and iPhone. The device can be used to accept or decline phone calls.
