Microsoft has already released a new preview build 10041 for desktop users in the previous week. It does not feature the much hyped Spartan internet browser. Now, Microsoft has released a newer build that marks the arrival of its Spartan browser. As far as Windows 10 Mobile users are concerned, the Redmond giant is in the process of releasing its future build for non-Lumia smartphones.

Windows 10 Technical Preview Build 10049 With Spartan Browser For Desktop

Microsoft has been working on releasing a lighter and faster internet browser called Spartan but the previous builds like 9926 and 10041 did not feature it. The newly released 10049 build finally arrives with the new browser.

The Spartan browser comes with support for Cortana. It also brings the most desired features such as inking, sharing, reading list, reading view and many more reveals the official Microsoft blog post. The Redmond giant claims that Spartan is faster and reliable and it also offers robust security.

CNET claims that since it is an early build, the Spartan browser may contain bugs and certain functions may be missing. Also, the next Windows 10 Mobile technical preview build does not feature the Spartan web browser for handsets.

In order to use the Spartan browser, one needs to have the build 10041 installed on the PC. Once installed, users can install the build 10049 with Spartan browser through Windows Update

Windows 10 Mobile Preview To Support Non-Lumia Devices

Microsoft has published a new list of Lumia devices that will support the forthcoming Windows 10 Mobile technical preview build. What about non-Lumia devices? Will handsets like HTC One M8 for Windows, Samsung ATIV SE and low-budget phones like Xolo Win Q900S, Micromax Canvas Win W121 receive the Windows 10 Mobile technical preview build?

Gabriel Aul, the Engineering General Manager with the Redmond based company and the one who pioneers the Insider program for Windows 10, states that the firm is also working on making Windows 10 Mobile preview available for non-Lumia devices, reports WM Power User. However, as of this writing, he has no new information to share about it.
