After the best statistical games in their respective careers, Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson will look to follow-up it up with an even bigger performance when their teams take on each other in Week 2 of the 2013 NFL regular season.

Kaepernick led the 49ers to a 34-28 win over the Green Bay Packers finishing with 412 passing yards on 27-of-39 completions and 3 touchdowns. Wilson's Seahawks struggled a bit in a low-scoring 12-7 road win vs. the Carolina Panthers but still managed to end up with 320 yards (25-of-33 completions) with 1 TD.

At the end of the 2012 regular season, San Francisco edged Seattle for the NFC West crown with a better record, 11-4-1 vs. 11-5-0. In the playoffs, the 49ers went all the way to the Super Bowl for their first appearance in the championship game in 18 years while the Seahawks lost a close one to the Atlanta Falcons, 28-30 in the divisional playoffs.

San Francisco and Seattle split their season series in 2012. The 49ers won the first match-up in October, 13-6 although Kaepernick was still not the starter for San Francisco.

In the second match-up in December, Kaepernick did start and play finishing with 244 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. However, Wilson had an even better outing: 171 yards, a career-high 4 TD and 1 INT as the Seahawks got the blowout win at home, 42-13.
