Crazybaby has launched Mars levitating speakers which have a UFO-style disc above a subwoofer. The UFO-style disc floats above the subwoofer because of levitation and magnetic technology. The technology was acquired by Crazybaby from Levitation Arts.

According to CNET, Mars is a two-part Bluetooth speaker. It has a cylindrical base which is the subwoofer and the UFO-shaped disc, which is called the Mars Craft, produces the mid- to high-end sounds. Pre-orders for the speakers are taken on its Web site as well as through Indiegogo.

The people at Crazybaby said that the levitation technology will help in delivering the better sound because it floats in the air and so there were be no loss of sound through transference to materials that are in contact with it, unlike usual speakers which need to be in contact with the surface. Since the UFO-style disc has no front or back, it distributes the sound equally.

The speakers can also be controlled with a smartphone and one of the unique features is that the volume can be lowered and raised by just getting closer and farther away from the speakers. Another unique feature is that the speaker will drift to its base when the charge runs out and floats back up when it is fully charged. The speaker can also be used as a speaker phone for one's smartphones as it has USB ports that can help connect the phone to the speaker.

The co-founder of Crazybaby, Linda Zhao, said that there were many products that had either good sound quality, good design or economically priced, but there was no product until now that offered all three in one. She said that they created Mars to offer innovative design as well as economical pricing and a captivating speaker which provides unparalleled listening experience. In Australia, for an early-bird Mars, the cost is at about AU$176 for a single piece and once the product goes live, it will be priced at $296.

The co-founder and CEO of Levitation Arts, Karen Sherlock, said that Gravitron® was their patented and state-of-the-art levitation technology. She added that Levitation Arts was excited about the fact that Crazybaby was using it to enhance consumer experience.
