Serena Williams starts her training by joining the Ultimate Run South Beach on Sunday morning. According to the tennis superstar, she makes it a point to join running events every Thanksgiving to kick-start her training for the upcoming season and she is known to do this personal training over time. All proceeds from the event will go to the Serena Williams Foundation for underprivileged children.

For the 33-year-old world no. 1, she prefers to run at a 5-kilometre to 10-kilometre dash and nothing more than that. For her, a 5-kilometre won't burn out the body. It is just enough-all that she needed. During Sunday's Miami-based event, she was joined by her sister Venus who was all supportive for her running cause. The two had great moments entertaining the crown right after they finish their run by going up on stage and doing karaoke. Serena loves karaoke, and her fans just love watching her.

Serena likes to start her training as early as possible, meeting the next year with a pre-conditioned stamina and fit body. She is known to the world as a competitor who hates losing. This is among the major reasons why Serena is running every year apart from the realisation that dawned on her when she told the Florida newspaper that if she can have fun running, she might as well do it on a charity-based event. Running is also her way of promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Running every year to kick-start her training, Serena admitted that this kind of training has helped her so much to keep her endurance while on court. She said, she felt like she can run so many miles, and can last three hours, or four hours if she has to. Keeping her run at 5K or 10K doesn't kill her body. Nevertheless, she can still feel the vibe of the race.

The beautiful beaches in Miami have perfectly set in its place as a backdrop while Serena Williams passed by it. It was a good Sunday morning, with the right race vibe, and a thing to do Karaoke right after.
