Three big things are expected to be released in 2015 from Samsung and Sony. Know what sources have listed so far about the hardware technologies on Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy Note 5 and Sony Xperia Z4.

Samsung Galaxy S6: Metal Frame, 4K Display And Snapdragon 810 Processor

Reports from TechRadar unveiled expected hardware specifications of Samsung Galaxy S6 such as greatly improved display, new processor with 64-bit computing and metal framing design. Design factor on Samsung Galaxy S6 would likely be based on the Samsung Galaxy Alpha which features high-quality metal frame to hold the polycarbonate rear while the back cover remains unknown if similar with Galaxy S5.

4K or 2,560 x 1,440 resolution is also an expected upgrade on the display screen of Galaxy S6 since Samsung already featured it on Galaxy Note 4 and on the Galaxy S5 LTE-A variant in South Korea. Processing power and speed will likely be supported by 64-bit processors with eight-cores such as Snapdragon 810 from Qualcomm according to Korean media Daum. Other features include Android 5.0 Lollipop as factory OS and Optical Image Stabilisation on the camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note 5: Large Display With 700 Pixel Density And Qualcomm Snapdragon 810

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is not due until the second half of 2015 which will give enough time for more innovative technologies on mobile devices. PhoneArena claimed that Samsung is preparing for the six inches of screen display on the fifth generation of Galaxy Note phablet with Ultra High Definition display resolution having 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and more than 700 pixel density -- higher than the 4K and 515 pixel density on Galaxy Note 4.

Processor model on the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 is expected to feature 64-bit computing such as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 set to be released next year. Other possible features such as metal frame on Galaxy Alpha, water and dust resistances on Galaxy S5 produced by Samsung could also be added on Galaxy Note 5.

Sony Xperia Z4: 4K Display, Snapdragon 810, Adreno 430 And 4 GB Memory

Sony Mobile remains secretive on the upcoming successor of Xperia Z3 smartphone. Last month, XperiaBlog caught leaked specifications of the alleged Sony Xperia Z4 smartphone having 5.5 inches of screen display with 2,560 x 1,440 or 4K display resolution, 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm, Adreno 430 GPU, 32 GB internal storage and 4 GB of memory capacity with possible announcement at the Mobile World Congress next year. New imaging sensor is also expected on Sony Xperia Z4 after Sony announced the Exmor RS IMX230 that features an Image Plane Phase Detection Signal Processing Function for high-speed autofocus. Exmor RS IMX230 enables the camera to capture quick-moving subjects and makes accurate, high-speed autofocus tracking possible when shooting still images and videos.
