Even if Canadian singer Justin Bieber gatecrashed the Saturday Bible study session of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the team lost the next day to the New York Jets, the Steelers are not blaming Bieber for their loss or are considering him a jinx.

Arthur Moats, linebacker of the Steelers, said the team actually found it cool that the young singer prayed with the team. "I don't play into any of that stuff. There's nothing mystical about it. The reason we lost is because we turned the ball over and we didn't get turnover," The New York Post quoted Moats.

As further proof that the team was not blaming Bieber's presence for their loss, Moats, teammate Cameron Heyward, Danny Garrison and Bruce Gradkowski all posted on Twitter their selfies with the singer of Baby.

Bieber came with his mentor, Rev Carl Lentz of Hillsong Church in New York City who leads the Bible study session of the Steelers.

The Jets won the game on Sunday with a score of 20, while the Steelers scored 13. It was a very welcome victory for the Jets which had not won a game for a long time since they beat Oakland on opening day.

In a post-game assessment, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin agreed with Moats that "There's nothing mystical about the outcome of that football game," quoted by ESPN. He attributed their defeat to the team being minus in the turnover ratio, saying, "You're going to lose football games when you're minus-4 in the turnover ratio, and we did today."
