A video titled “Pass Interference Call Against Cowboys Should Not Have Been Overturned - Mike Pereira” has gone viral following the 24-20 win of Dallas Cowboys over Detroit Lions at JerryWorld on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015.

In the video, former NFL Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira discusses the controversial defensive passing interference call in the fourth quarter of the wild-card game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.

Previously, the Dallas Cowboys had an infallible offensive front but during the recent wild-card game, the team’s defense and special teams had breakdowns leading to a 14-0 deficit as the Detroit Lions’ defensive line took control.

According to the NFL’s head of officiating Dean Blandino, the officials made an error on the controversial offensive pass-interference flag picked up in the Dallas Cowboys-Detroit Lions playoff game.

“Interference called. Interference announced. And then, interference picked up,” says Pereira about the interference called against the Dallas Cowboys’ Anthony Hitchens. “Well, I tell you. I watch a lot of football, see a lot of plays. To me, you can’t pick that flag up (because) Hitchens was not playing the ball.”
