Fresh from a rather disappointing stint with Australia at the FIBA World Cup, Dante Exum is, thus far, proving that he could belong to the NBA.

LA Clippers coach Doc Rivers couldn't help but notice the youngster's progress in the ongoing preseason games, slowly picking up the pace, showing that he can light it up from the outside and is an abled quarterback, dishing out a high of 6 assists against the Lakers.

He can also take it strong to the rack and create match-up problems because of his length and athleticism.

"I like him a lot. I was just talking about him," said Rivers.

"I think he's going to be really good. I just think he's so darn long. How old is he, by the way?"

"Nineteen," a reporter replied.

"Jesus, he could grow two more inches."

Exum, the fifth overall pick in the recent draft, struggled to convert his shots from beyond they arc during the World Cup, but he, apparently, did his homework coming into the season.

"But he's a better shooter already than I thought he was. With his ability to handle the ball, he could be a giant point. He's gonna be great, I think," he added.

Meanwhile, newly appointed Utah Jazz overseer Quin Snyder also sees the positives that Exum can bring to the table, but he is also wary of the fact that his rookie playmaker will be needing invaluable experiences to grow.

"One thing about Dante, he's a quick study," said Snyder.

"That's the biggest thing for me with him. There are growing pains, but hopefully he can learn quickly."

"I think there's a real will there and a pride."

"But there's also a gap between where he is and where he wants to be, where we want him to be."
