Porsche ambassador tennis star Maria Sharapova stars in a brand new advertisement for Porshe 911 Turbo S car. Dressed in her usually sporty attire, Sharapova guides the viewer as she drives a blue Porsche 911 Turbo S along the superbly scenic highway.

In the video, Sharapova is shown enjoying a cool morning breeze at a beach before taking the luxury car for a drive. Sharapova talks about how self-investment is extremely important in her career. It doesn’t matter how good she is; what matters is that she trains relentlessly on a regular basis to get better every day.

For Sharapova and Porsche, it is vital to outperform yourself. “Outperform yourself - a philosophy that has not only been at the heart of all Porsche models but also the reason for Maria Sharapova’s success,” Porsche states.

Sharapova became Porsche’s ambassador in 2013 after signing a three-year partnership with the Stuttgart carmaker. Porsche Chief Executive Officer Matthias Mueller previously said in a press release that the Russian tennis star is the “perfect choice” for the company, adding that Sharapova’s “profile and charisma are an ideal fit for Porsche.”

Meanwhile, Sharapova is in Mexico to compete at the 2015 Abierto Mexicano Telcel tournament following her Australian Open final defeat to longtime rival World No. 1 Serena Williams. Sharapova reportedly arrived in Acapulco with her boyfriend and fellow tennis star Grigor Dimitrov, who is the reigning men’s champion, on Feb. 20.

It is the first time that Sharapova will be playing in the claycourt Mexico tournament. Ahead of her debut in the tournament, Sharapova also had spare time to enjoy the beautiful sights of Acapulco as seen on her social media posts. She also had time to meet with some young tennis fans.

The Russian tennis star is favoured to claim the title, being the only top 10 player from women’s tour. She has also been awarded the top seed in the tournament. The other seeds in the Abierto Mexicano Telcel include Sara Errani, Sloane Stephens, Timea Bacsinzky, Caroline Garcia, Roberta Vinci, Irina-Camelia Begu and Madison Keys. It also features other top 70 players, namely, Karin Knapp, Daniela Hantuchova, Zhang Shuai, Teresa Smitkova and Silvia Soler-Espinoza. The tournament kicks off on Feb. 23.
