Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is discontented with how his men performed on the defensive end in spite of coming out victorious with a 6-3 scoreline against Everton on Saturday.

The Blues have conceded only a single goal in their first two outings in the Premier League, but was unable to capitalize on their early two-goal lead, as the Toffees kept on coming back during the game.

"It was wonderful for everyone watching - but not for me," said the Portuguese.

"We cannot make so many defensive mistakes. Today we showed we are improving in other areas but not keeping the balance in defence."

Kevin Mirallas found the back of the net before the break to make it 2-1, giving last year's fifth-placers a glimmer of hope going into the second-half.
Steven Naismith and Samuel Eto'o joined the resistance after the restart, but the west Londoners always had corresponding answers to Everton's series of surge.

"Wednesday afternoon we spent 90 minutes defending corners and free-kicks," he added.

"But today we conceded from a free-kick so I cannot be happy with the ridiculous goal we conceded."
