Serena Williams will aim to continue her strong campaign at the 2016 Australian Open when she meets world No. 3 Agnieszka Radwanska in the semifinal round of the tournament.

Williams put on another show in the quarterfinal round of the Australian Open, winning her 18th straight against career rival Maria Sharapova. William only needed two sets to dispatch the Siberian Siren 6-4 6-1 as she comes closer to tying Steffi Graf’s record of 22 Grand Slam singles titles. However, the WTA’s world No. 1 understands she still needs to win her next match against Radwanska in the semifinal stage of the tournament.

“Nothing’s guaranteed in sports; I still have to win two matches against potentially two extremely tough opponents,” Williams said, reports the New York Times.

Meanwhile, No. 4 seed Radwanska continues her unbeaten start at the first Grand Slam event of the year after getting past Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro 6-1 6-3. However, the Polish player admitted she needed to be on top of her game to have a chance at overcoming Williams, who has not dropped a single set since the opening round.

“I need to get a good rest and hopefully I will be able to play my best tennis otherwise I’ll be in big trouble for sure,” Radwanska said, reports the Australian Open’s official website. "I think in the second week of a Grand Slam you have nothing to lose, it doesn’t matter who you are playing."

Williams is 8-0 against Radwanska in their head-to-head matches, and a staggering 24-4 against the four women remaining in the bottom half of the draw.

Victoria Azarenka, who took Williams to three sets in three classic matches last year, has the only real chance of beating Williams at the tournament, but the Belarusian was eliminated in the quarterfinals by Germany’s Angelique Kerber 6-3 7-5. Kerber will have a semifinal clash against British Johanna Konta, who ended China's Zhang Shuai’s Australian Open dream run after a 6-4 6-1 victory.
