Walgreens (WBA) joins a growing list of vaccine providers offering people incentives to get their COVID shot in the latest push to get America vaccinated.

Starting on Tuesday, the pharmacy and drug store retailer is giving customers that get their COVID shot at a Walgreens $25 in Walgreens Cash rewards.

The company said the rewards will be available immediately following their vaccination for those individuals that have a myWalgreens account. Those vaccine recipients that do not have a myWalgreens account will be able to receive a $25 Walgreens gift card instead after receiving their COVID shot.

For vaccine recipients aged 12 to 15, Walgreens Cash rewards or the $25 Walgreens gift card (if not a myWalgreens account members) can be given to a parent or guardian, Walgreens said.

Walgreens is offering the added vaccine perk to encourage more people to get their COVID shot as it supports President Joe Biden’s National Month of Action. Biden has set a goal of vaccinating 70% of Americans by July 4 – a target that is in jeopardy of being missed as some states see an increase in COVID cases as the Delta variant, which was first detected in India, spreads.

To help reach the goal and make it easier for Americans to get vaccinated, Walgreens said, 4,000 of its stores have extended their pharmacy hours on Fridays in June for walk-in COVID-19 shots. The retailer also has 400 pharmacies with 24-hour operations in the U.S., where the vaccine is currently being administered.

Walgreens takes walk-in appointments for the vaccine as well as online scheduled appointments, which can even be made the same day. Appointments can also be made by calling 1-800-Walgreens.

Walgreens is not alone in offering incentives to Americans to get their vaccine, as both CVS and Kroger offered giveaways with an array of prizes to help people get past their COVID shot hesitancy.

CVS’s #OneStepCloser sweepstakes ran through June 10, with 1,000 prizes for vaccine recipients that included Super Bowl tickets, cruises, and five grand prizes of $5,000 in cash. Kroger’s giveaway is still taking entries, where vaccine recipients could win $1 million or free groceries for a year.

Shares of Walgreens were trading at $51.76 as of 12:13 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, down 17 cents, or 0.33%.
