Louis Van Gaal has spoken about the possibility of signing Cristiano Ronaldo to United in the summer of 2015. When asked about Ronaldo's signing, he clearly stated "it is possible." However, he also mentioned that it is unlikely for Real Madrid to sell him.

Cristiano Ronaldo recently helped his club become the Champions of Europe. He is one of the most celebrated players of the era and is enjoying a golden run both in terms of form and silverware since moving to Real Madrid in 2009. He has the record for the most number of goals in a Premier League season.

Ronaldo is one of those players who enjoy equal proportions of affection from the fans of his former as well as present club. He speaks highly of United and he did the same in one of his recent interviews. When asked about United he told MUTV: "I love Manchester and you never know in football," as reported by the guardian.

Real Madrid's former president stated last week: "My impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president." This could hint to the fact the Ronaldo is not entirely happy of the fact that his teammates are leaving one after another. Higuain, Ozil, Xabi Alonso and Angel di Maria have all been sold to other clubs. This could be one of the reasons Ronaldo might be hinting towards moving to United.

Van Gaal seems to be surrounded by injury scares at the beginning of the new season. He looks to bring fresh player in his team to add effectiveness for a longer duration. This allows him to have greater depth and variety in his squad. He was quoted as saying: "When it is possible, what I said with [Radamel] Falcao, players like Ronaldo give a lot extra to selection or to a team," as reported

Although the injury list seems to be easing a bit but the idea of the world footballer of the year is a mouth watering aspect not only for United fans but for all the followers of Barclay's Premier's league. Something that seemed like a speculation has just begun to sound real somehow.
