Few more details have been revealed supporting rumours that Kylo Ren could be Han Solo’s son in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” There are reportedly scenes in the film that shows the villain’s familial connection to the Millennium Falcon pilot.

According to Making Star Wars, this father-son connection supposedly happens before Han Solo (Harrison Ford) dies from the hands of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). What follows is a sequence of events that’s believed to prove the villain sith is Han Solo’s son. Writer Jason Ward said this sequence happens in the middle of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” when Han Solo and Chewbacca are piloting the Millennium Falcon while Finn (John Boyega) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) are on board.

Stormtroopers manage to shoot down the Falcon where it crash-landed on a snowy planet. After tracking down the crashed ship, Kylo Ren and his troops board it. “Kylo walks into the cockpit of the Falcon and sits in the pilot’s seat and has a moment,” Ward said. This scene showing Kylo sitting emotionally on the cockpit with an “implication of remorse” even frustration reportedly somehow proves the villain’s close connection to the Millennium Falcon’s pilot. It supposedly somehow gives credence to the rumours that Kylo Ren is actually Han Solo’s son in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” According to Ward it’s is almost as if Kylo Ren “is sitting at the desk of the job he felt he would one day hold and now due to circumstances never will.”

A source once told Jason Ward that there’s “bad blood” between Kylo Ren and his parents that he could care less for them. He has reportedly been obsessed over his lineage for years and is believed to be somewhat of a historian with his fascination with the Sith.

Screenrant added “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will have big themes of parentage as it explores the characters’ lineage, especially that of Kylo Ren and Rey’s parents, believed to be Han Solo and Princess Leia. The film will reportedly also reveal the identity of Luke Skywalker’s son, who’s rumoured to be played by Domhnall Gleeson.
