Eva Mendes, 40, and Ryan Gosling, 33, have not yet spoken about the birth of their baby girl. Seeing how private these two can be, it is unlikely that they will release a statement or the photos of the baby will appear on any publication. However, insiders have been revealing little details about how the first-time parents are handling parenthood. It looks like Gosling is taking his new role 'very' seriously.

Citing a source, Us Weekly is reporting that the first-time father is "thrilled" that "it's a girl" but at the same time he is a "little nervous." The report also says that the Gosling has not left Mendes' side ever since they brought home the baby girl to Mendes' home in Los Feliz, L.A.

E! Online is reporting that Gosling and Mendes are "great" but "exhausted," as well. It has quoted a source as saying, "They know it's going to be a little while before the baby adjusts to a schedule." Also, the report says that the "Notebook" actor is "infatuated" with his baby girl.

According to Us Weekly, a nurse is there to help the couple 24x7. Also, Gosling's parents, Donna and Thomas, and his sister, Mandi, are helping the new parents. Mendes' mother, Eva and her sister, Janet, have also been lending their help.

Mendes and Gosling are becoming "confident" about "doing things themselves," according to E! Online. The couple reportedly filmed their baby girl's first bath. Quoting a source close to Gosling, Us Weekly has reported that for the actor his family is now the "number one priority." "He's accomplished everything work-wise that he had hoped and this is the next step in his life."

Mendes and Gosling reportedly started dating in Sept. 2011. They came close while filming the crime drama film "The Place Beyond the Pines." The same year, Gosling told The Times, as quoted by Us Weekly, "I'd like to be making babies but I'm not, so I'm making movies. When someone comes along, I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies."
