In the biggest game of the season, the Dallas Cowboys may be missing a key piece when they host bitter rivals Philadelphia Eagles in the final week of the regular season. It’s a winner-takes-all match-up too as the victor will move on to win the NFC East and the loser will be eliminated from contention.

The Eagles (9-6) actually have a one game lead over the Cowboys (8-7) entering the match-up, but Dallas owns the tiebreak advantage if they manage to get protect their home field. Cowboys beat the Eagles, 17-3 in Philadelphia earlier in the season in Week 7.

Dallas may have to do it without their starting quarterback however. Initial reports stated that Dallas quarterback Tony Romo will not play Sunday because of a herniated disk but the Cowboys camp have not officially ruled out a possible appearance in the crucial game versus the Eagles.

“I saw him briefly today, and he's fighting through it. He's certainly in a situation where he's trying to do everything he can to get himself back with the rehab process and treatment process, like any injured player would. He's a tough guy, as we saw the other day. We'll just see how he does." Dallas head coach Jason Garret told ESPN.COM.

If Romo won’t play, the Cowboys will start Kyle Orton under center.

The Eagles are coming off a crushing of the Chicago Bears to the tune of 54-11. QB Nick Foles had two touchdowns and was highly efficient passing 21-of-25 for 230 yards. The Eagles league-leading ground game was up to task too with 289 rushing yards against the Bears. Philadelphia ranks 1st in the NFL in rush yards per game with 161.9/game.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys eked out a 24-to-23 win over the Washington Redskins in their last game led by Romo's late touchdown with 1:08 to go in the game. The win allowed Dallas to set-up the all-or-nothing game versus their rivals.
