NFL News 2013 - Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick created some buzz as of late, though off the field, following reports he suffered broken legs after being involved in a major car accident. The report might be shocking at first glance, but delving deeper into the details of story would tell everybody that it's nothing but a plain made-up story - a complete hoax.

Vick, who has already been sidelined most of the season with hamstring injury, was a subject of debates on several major networking sites after reports of an alleged accident involving him circulated in the Internet.

In a report published by Satirical Web site Global Associated News, Vick reportedly suffered broken legs after his 2012 BMW car crashed into a 2010 Audi driven by a 76-year old woman. Below is the full account of the story:

"A spokesperson for the Philadelphia highway safety authority (HSA) has confirmed that Michael Vick has broken both of his legs in a traffic altercation. He has been transported via ambulance to a local Philadelphia hospital for treatment, and the full extent of his injuries are not known at this time, however, both of his legs were visibly broken and not life threatening according to sources.

"The accident involved a 2012 BMW driven by Michael Vick and a 76 year old female driver in a 2010 Audi. The driver of the Audi was issued a citation for failing to stop at a red light before striking the vehicle driven by Michael Vick at a high rate of speed.

The team spokespersons could not be reached for comment at this time."

Vick immediately quashed the rumours by telling everybody on Twitter that he's in fine condition.

"I don't know where these rumors start but I'm doing great. No accident or broken legs. Thanks for the concerns! #BleedGreen #Blessed," Vick tweeted on Tuesday via MzStarz.

According to MZ Starz, it was not the first time Vick was trolled by a car accident hoax.

Peyton Manning, Tom Brady Breaking Legs

Several months ago, Global Associated News also reported an accident involving Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. New England Patriots signal-caller Tom Brady was not spared by the Internet hysteria as he was also reported to have crashed into the 76-year old woman's car.

Yahoo Sports writer Jay Busbee provided a nice jest on the recent car accident poppycock.

"In an eerie coincidence, Tom Brady has also broken both legs in a car accident of his own, involving a 76-year-old female driver. And Peyton Manning suffered a catastrophic injury when he broke both legs in a car accident with, yep, a 76-year-old female driver," Busbee stated in his latest article.
