Fans of American football do not have to wait until Sunday to have a taste of topnotch collegiate action. As early as Saturday morning, American football fans in Australia will be able to catch a glimpse of a Top 25 team as the #8 Louisville Cardinals take on the UCF Knights.

Louisville, at 6-0, currently leads the American Athletic Conference football standings, one game ahead of the Houston Cougars who are 5-0. The Cardinals are led by phenomenal quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, a native of Miami, Florida. The junior has thrown 18 touchdowns with just two interceptions, and is posed to be one of the top quarterback prospects should he declare himself eligible for the 2014 NFL draft.

The UCF Knights are not far behind, with a 4-1 record and a 1-0 conference slate. Spearheading the Knights' charge is quarterback Blake Bortles. The redshirt junior, while not as flashy as Bridgewater, has thrown nine touchdowns for the year. The Knights' only loss was against #13 South Carolina at home, a 25-28 game that drew a capacity crowd of 47,605 to the Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando. They bounced back with a come-from-behind victory over Memphis at the Liberty Bowl Stadium in Tennessee.

Connoisseurs of fine play-calling will enjoy the match-up between the two cerebral quarterbacks, but also look forward to the Louisville receiver corps, which is described as being able to catch anything that Bridgewater throws. Louisville is also playing at home, which adds to the pressure that is building up in the Knights' quarters.

Central Florida, though, is not about to roll over and die. They have had experience playing in front of hostile crowds, including Penn State and Ohio State, and in fact won over the Penn State Nittany Lions, humbling a crowd of nearly 93,000 spectators.

Saturday's Louisville-UCF game will be played at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, Louisville, Kentucky.
