Software giant Microsoft has finally confirmed the release date of Surface Pro on February 9 at every Microsoft retail store in the United States and Canada. The Surface Pro's availability in other countries has not yet been announced but Microsoft declared the latest tablet will also go on sale in the coming weeks at other markets like Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

Microsoft Surface Pro runs on Intel Core i5 processor with the Intel HD Graphics 4000. The device offers a storage capacity of 64GB or 128GB with a little heaviness at 2 pounds (0.91 kg) due to its powerful battery. Surface Pro with 64GB storage will start at a price of $899 while the 128GB storage is worth $999.

A couple of new Surface Pro accessories will be available for the latest tablet. The etched-designed Touch Cover available in different colors with built-in touch sensitive keyboard costs $119.99.

Surface Pro includes the pressure-sensitive Surface Pen stylus that magnetically attaches to the charging port. A Surface-optimized edition of the new dark grey Wedge Touch Mouse costs $69.95 with its sides now more Surface-friendly compared to the original silver-colored Touch Mouse.

"Whether you're a road warrior, a student or someone who just wants a flexible and powerful Intel PC, the Surface Windows 8 Pro will deliver," Panos Panay, Microsoft Surface General Manager, wrote in a blog post.
