Alex Ariza, the former strength and conditioning coach of Manny Pacquiao claimed that the much anticipated Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight will not happen as long as the Top Rank Promoter, Bob Arum is involved.

"As long as Bob Arum is involved, the fight won't happen..." Ariza spoke his mind while talking to correspondent Ronnie Nathanielsz of Boxing Scene.

Ariza made a revelation for the fans who believe that death of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight was entirely caused by the undefeated American boxer. Contrary to popular belief, the biggest mega-fight in boxing wasn't killed by Mayweather.

Ariza reiterated that it was Mayweather who called Pacquiao and offered a flat $49 million for accepting the bout. Back then, Pacquiao passed the phone to his adviser Michael Koncz, which started the failed negotiations.

Apart from the $40 million flat offer, Mayweather, according to Ariza, is also willing to discuss an equitable pay-per-view split before Pacquiao passed the phone to Koncz. Moreover, the subsequent visit by Koncz to Mayweather's gym made things worse when he allegedly made false promises regarding the involvement of Arum in the fight negotiations.

From what Ariza is saying, the American boxer will not bother to fight Pacquiao for the remainder of his career as it is also unlikely for him to wait for Pacquiao's contract with Top Rank Promotions to be over. Apart from the aforementioned, Mayweather also does not have enough time left to wait for Pacquiao, who is would likely re-up for another couple of years.

In the past, the 37-year-old made it clear that he will not fight Pacquiao as long as he is under the Top Rank Promotions but the Filipino boxer did not but what the American was saying, so he went on and signed another contract with Arum.

Just recently, Alex Ariza reportedly signed a 2-year contract with The Money Team (TMT), which involves a non-compete/non-disclosure contract that could lead to working with Mayweather in the near future. But then again, Ariza's contract with TMT does not mean that he is not telling the truth.
