Monkeys and dogs being friends apparently can be seen not only in commercials like Google’s Android ad titled “Friends Furever” but also in real life. A week after National Puppy Day on March 23, a video of a little monkey petting some puppies went viral.

Calling it a “puppy love,” ABC7 News took to Facebook to share a heart-warming video of the Capuchin monkey doting on a litter of puppies nestled together by giving them a scratching behind the ears and checking their fur for grubs.

This video is reminiscent of the viral video titled “Android: Friends Furever” with a message urging the viewers to “be together, not the same.” Published on Feb. 5, the commercial has been viewed more than 15.3 million times.

Among the pairs of animals that are surprisingly friendly to each other in the “Android: Friends Furever” are monkeys and dogs. In fact, the one-minute video started and ended with different pairs of a monkey and a dog. Other animals featured were a meerkat, an elephant and a cockatoo,

With cuddly animals of different species being “friends furever,” the commercial promoted Google’s Android operating system with Roger Miller’s song “Oo-De-Lally” from the 1973 Disney film “Robin Hood” as its musical background.
