Daniel Ricciardo of Red Bull
For Red Bull racing star Daniel Ricciardo, there is no use being upset over his disqualification tast year at Albert Park. Instead of looking back, Ricciardo looks into the future and says he is excited to kick off the Formula One, or F1 season in his home turf.IN PHOTO: Red Bull Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo of Australia raises his trophy as he celebrates his third placed finish in the F1 United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas November 2, 2014. Pop star Kylie Minogue has asked not one but three autographs from Red Bull racing star Daniel Ricciardo when the two appeared on Australian TV show “The Project” on March 9. Ricciardo was caught a little bit off his guard by Minogue’s unexpected request but he was more than amenable to give in to her request.

During the show, Minogue pulled out three pictures of Ricciardo and asked him to sign each. She said that one picture will be for her and the other two will be for her nephews. Ricciardo thought that Minogue was probably just teasing him. He asked if she was serious before admitting that Minogue’s little gesture made his cheeks turn red.

“Is this serious, I’m blushing,” Ricciardo said. “This will be an authentic autograph, not one of those printed ones that I give away to the fans.”

Minogue shared snaps of her with Ricciardo on Instagram. She also later tweeted Ricciardo and said that a lot of people are now asking her to get his autograph.

The 46-year-old pop star will be touring around Australia for his “Kiss Me Once” 2015 Tour. She will be having performances at Perth Arena (March 14), Adelaide Entertainment Centre (March 17), Rod Laver Arena (March 18), Qantas Credit Union Arena (March 20), and Brisbane Entertainment Centre (March 21). The tour will feature her songs from her “Kiss Me Once” album as well as the songs she made all throughout her entire music career.

Ricciardo, on the other hand, is about to kick off his 2015 season at the Australian Grand Prix, which takes place from March 12 to March 15 at Albert Park in Melbourne. All eyes will be on him after his former teammate and quadruple world champion Sebastian Vettel departed Red Bull for Ferrari, which leaves Ricciardo as the senior driver for the Red Bull outfit.

In an interview with media ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Ricciardo has revealed that he is looking to emulate the success he had last season, claiming titles in Canada, Hungary and Belgium. He said that he sees no reason why he wouldn’t be able to achieve big wins in 2015.

“I don’t see any reason to drop off the pace,” Ricciardo said. “A lot of people say it’s harder to have a good year the following, to keep the ball rolling, but to me that doesn’t make much sense.”

Last year at the Australian Grand Prix, Ricciardo finished second place. However, he was stripped off his second place finish after being disqualified for breaching fuel flow rules.
