The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus will be available in India on October 17. The good news is that it will be launched during the festive season. This is a good move by Apple as this is the best time to launch the device as it is also the gifting season. The tech giant will make the iPhones available in 115 countries by the year end.

After a lot of talks, rumours and hype is the much anticipated iPhone was released last September 9. According to the promos the smartphones will run on the iOS 8 the new software across all Apple platforms.

The smartphone have Retina HD display and ion strengthened glass to give it that extra strength. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch screen and the iPhone 6 Plus has a larger screen of 5.5 inches. The iPhone 6 is 6.8mm thin and the Plus is 7.1mm thin and run on the A8 64bit chip. This would make the CPU 20 per cent faster and graphics 50 per cent faster.

Apple has made 1.3 million apps available on their new phones. According to Apple, the iPhone 6 has 14 hours of 3G and the Plus has 24 hours of 3G talktime.

There is an image stabilization and the cameras are good with the 8 megapixel and can take sharper pictures. The features also include the face and smile detection. The keyboards have cut, copy and paste options that was previously not available.

Apple made the wait worthwhile, both the phones are very classy and are premium. They have aluminium finish and are available in silver, gold and grey. The storage capacity is 16, 64 and 128 GB for both the iPhones. It also has the touch id that has a fingerprint scanner to lock the phone so that it is more secure. A technology called Siri is used that can use voice to send messages.

Many new features were included in the smartphones with the new iOS 8. The price was not disclosed yet, but the launch during the festival season will boost the sales of the iPhones in India.
