The Finali Mondiali 2015 recently took place at the Mugello Circuit in Italy from Nov. 5 to Nov. 8, 2015, where Ferrari has unveiled the Ferrari 488 GT3 and the Ferrari 488 GTE race cars.

In addition to the 488 GTB race cars, the new F12 tdf was also unveiled in the event, reports Motor Sport Authority. The F12 tdf was reportedly derived from the 12-cylinder F12berlinetta, but it now comes with a 750 HP engine. The said race cars will be put to test when they make their debut at the upcoming 2016 motorsport season replacing the current 458-based race cars. The Ferrari 488 GTE and GT3 are designed for the World Endurance Championship in 2016 and in the main GT championships, while the F12 tdf will be the track-focused version of Ferrari’s F12 grand tourer.

The event, which capped the calendar of the Ferrari Challenge Series, was attended by Ferrari Chairman Sergio Marchionne and CEO Amedeo Felisa. Formula One (F1) stars four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen as well as Esteban Gutierrez and Enzo Ferrari’s son Piero were also present in the event.

The highlight of this year’s edition was the appearances of F1 stars Vettel and Raikkonen, who delighted the crowd with their on-track demonstration runs.

Raikkonen took Felisa as his passenger while Gutierrez had Piero’s company in their respective Ferrari cars. Vettel, meanwhile, was joined by Marchionne in a “spine-chilling overtakes, exceptional accelerations, lightning-fast pitstops, and closing burn-outs.”
