Chelsea holding midfielder Nemanja Matic revealed that the Blues are more confident on the offensive end after they were able to find the back of the net eleven times in their first three Premier League matches.

The Serb joined the "goals" party on Saturday, finding the back of the net with a clinical left-foot strike from just outside the box to the bottom right corner, beating Toffees goalkeeper Tim Howard in the process.

"It was nice to score my first goal (for the club) because on this ground it is always difficult, although the most important thing is we got three points," said the 26-year-old former Benfica man.

"This season we play better, we have more goals in us, we are more confident in attack - we scored six goals which is not easy."

"It was very good for people who bought tickets for the game as they saw nine goals, which is good for football and the Premier League."

However, he admitted that in spite of netting six goals, the west Londoners still had much work to do on the defensive end.

"If every game was like this I'd be happy but the coach will show us where we made mistakes," he added.
