Chelsea Football Club goalkeeper Petr Chech is set to exit Stamford Bridge and most likely to sign with Arsenal according to goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon.

Skysports reports says Lollichon said that Arsenal is the frontrunner to sign the four-time Premier League winner after failing to regain his starting spot at Stamford.

“The advantage is that Arsenal is a top club, with a philosophy that pleases him and is based in London,” said Lollichon, who believes the Czech Republic international would rather remain in London for family reasons.

Cech played 11 seasons for Chelsea and has a remaining year in his contract. The 33-year old goalkeeper spent the last season as a second choice behind Thibaut Courtois and was the first time he has not been no.1 at Stamford Bridge.

“We knew that the 2014-2015 situation (season) could not go on forever. It’s magnificent to have two goalkeepers of that standard, but it can’t continue. It’s tough for a guy like Cech to be on the bench,” Lollichon said in the article.

He also believes that Cech, who helped Chelsea win the title in Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s first season as manager, has at least three or four excellent years ahead of him given his lifestyle and desire for football.

Meanwhile, Mourinho expressed that for every club that is interested in Petr Chec, he would seek a home-grown player in any exchange deal according to Skysports.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain were also interested in Cech, but the goalkeeper wants to remain in the Premiere League.

Lollichon believes Cech would certainly be an upgrade to PSG along with goal keeper Salvatore Sirigu.
