The Philippines has proven once again that Filipinas are a force to be reckoned with in international pageants. A third crown for the Philippines this year, Bea Rose Santiago bagged the Miss International 2013 at Tokyo, Japan and bested 66 candidates from all parts of the world.

The 22-year-old beauty queen dedicated her victory to all Filipinos who are currently building their lives after the wrath of super typhoon Haiyan. Santiago wowed the judges and pageant's organizers the moment she arrived in Japan. Like her fellow beauty queen Miss World Megan Young, she bagged the crown like it was destined to be hers.

Her court includes two of her closest friends in the competition, first runner-up Miss Netherlands Nathalie den Dekker and second runner-up Miss New Zealand Casey Radley. Contestants from Colombia and Hungary completed the Top 5.
