Many theme parks claim to be the most amazing in the world. However, tourists ranked some as truly awesome based on several factors that make up an unforgettable experience.

Here are the five of the most awesome theme parks in the world.

1. Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi has been very aggressive in showcasing some of the most unique places the rest of the world has never seen. Ferrari World is inspired by one of the top luxury cars in the world. Initially, there is a giant roof measuring 200,000 square meters and under it are four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, 23 themed resort hotels, two spas and a campground. According to Ferrariworld.com, more entertainment spots and shopping places are located within the area. There are over 20 rides for tourists including the fastest coaster, the Formula Rossa, which moves up to 240 km per hour. See Ferrari World.

2. Cedar Point, Ohio

Roller coaster addicts should not miss Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio which feature a total of 17 roller coasters. In a report by Novafm.com, it is dubbed as the "Roller Coaster Capital" of America, and includes the fastest and tallest inverted coaster called "Wicked Twister." The park has been open since 1870 and continues to be an attraction for tourist everywhere.

3. Universal Studios, Florida

The theme park is located in Orlando, Florida where the new attraction "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" is visited by thousands of fans each year. The theme park is based on the famous Harry Potter series and brings the elements of the novel to life. The park recently expanded, adding the new "Diagon Alley" area, writes Fodors.com.

4. Disneyland, Tokyo

Called the "Happiest Place in Asia," Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea brings back happy memories of childhood and people's beloved characters from the classic films. There are plenty of restaurants, rides, shows and recreational areas in the vicinity. Tourists will also find Cinderella's castle as the centerpiece and meet several mascots along the streets.

5. Legoland, Denmark

The home of the popular children's toy is located in Billund, Denmark. The park is just beside the original Lego factory and Billund Airport, the second busiest airport in the country. Children and adults will enjoy viewing many artistic creations since almost everything in the area is made of Lego. The park is the size of 15 football fields and also features a waterpark, rides, entertainment areas and spots where visitors can play with Lego blocks.
