The USA Women's Gymnastics national team showcased their Olympic competition leotards Thursday as they hit the training mat in preparation for the competition.

Five members of the official team and one alternate showed up Tuesday, to train for the first time at Ariake Gymnastics Centre in Tokyo.

Kara Eaker has not been able to participate due to testing positive for COVID-19 and is currently in quarantine.

The leotard designs were hand-crafted by a team of 75 people and was produced by GK Elite, which is the official apparel sponsor of the U.S. gymnastics team since 2000.

The theme of the designs was to symbolize “fearlessness, dynasty, and patriotism.”

Team members wore two different types of leotards, one worn by Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee, and Grace McCallum which was a black and rose gold leotard bedazzled with 3,515 hand-applied Brilliance and Blush Swarovski crystals.

GK Elite says that the black design was the “dynasty” theme inspired by the Tokyo 2020 torch, with a flame on the front.

The other style was worn by MyKayla Skinner and Jade Carey. It is a light purple leotard with the same 3,468 Brilliance and Blush Swarovski crystals.

The purple leotards GK says are the “fearless” theme.

Both the leotards have a Swarovski crystal “USA” outlined on the hip area and an American flag on the wrist.

The Olympic leotards are priced at $700-$1,200 as part of an entire Olympic wardrobe which also includes 12 practice leotards for each individual gymnast estimated to be priced around $12,000.

GK Elite has not released an actual total and is keeping it under wraps.

Each leotard is custom-made to perfectly fit each individual gymnasts’ body. The girls wear-test their uniforms as well to make sure that they will not run into any complications on the competition floor.

GK Elite has $50,000 machines that can apply each Swarovski crystal in a complex design on the fabric that specifically hits the light in different ways to make it shine for the athletes.

The gymnasts will hit the competition floor Saturday at 9 p.m. ET.
