Speculation is rife in the media that "The Fall's" Jamie Dornan is going to be the next Christian Grey for the movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" after Charlie Hunnam exited the scene. The 31-year-old Irish actor, who has modelled for Calvin Klein underwear, is one of the top contenders, according to various news websites.

Dornan has earlier starred in Sofia Coppola's "Marie Antoinette" and the TV series "Once Upon a Time" but faces tough competition for the part from Alexander Skarsgard, Theo James and Christian Cooke, reports E! Online.

Dornan has been well a established model before he became an actor and has showed off his envious body in ad campaigns for Calvin Klein with Kate Moss, Dior, Aquacutum and Armani. The hunk with a great body has been associated with actress Keira Knightley for two years.

Jamie met the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actress during a 2003 photo shoot in Manhattan and they started dating secretly. However things didn't go too well for the couple and they announced their split in 2005. The handsome hunk however is now married to singer Amelia Warner. The couple is reportedly expecting their first child anytime.

His past experience as a romantic lover role comes from "Marie Antoinette," in which he plays the 18th-century French queen's mysterious Swedish lover, Count Axel Fersen.

Jim Moore, the creative director at GQ has called the probable Christian Grey as "the male Kate Moss" in one of the interviews.

"His torso is long, and so he looks taller, and he brings a relaxed quality to modelling. He knows what he's there for, but unlike a lot of people he's not trying to be a male model. He is not modelling," said Moore.

So clearly the sex appeal needed for the role of enchanting Christian Grey is in place.

Dakota Johnson still takes the lead role of Anastasia Steele, the love interest of the bondage-lover guy Christian Grey. The movie casting had suffered a major backlash from fans of the EL James novel for casting Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson as the leads. Just when fans had accepted Hunnam as their Grey, the actor announced his decision to quit the role. The film cast has been on the lookout for their next Christian Grey since then. Do you think Jamie Dornan will fit the bill?
