One of the visionary and modern women is the latest to speak up on the Ray Rice domestic violence controversy.

Ronda Rousey, the UFC's undisputed bantamweight champion weighs in on the video that surface last week via TMZ, showing Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice beating up his wife, Janay Rice in an Atlantic City casino elevator. Rowdy reveals that things would have been "much, much different" is she was in Janay's place on that unfortunate night. This is understandable as Rousey is an undefeated champion and an imposing Olympian whose expertise is in the discipline of judo, an art that preaches self-defense.

"You need to respect yourself and see what you are worth ... really know what you are worth. Unfortunately, I think a lot of women undersell themselves and don't know how much they really deserve. I know for a fact that [Palmer] deserves more than she believes," Rousey chimed in on the issue during her appearance on the red carpet for the premier of The Ultimate Fighter 20.

She also divulged that she could not believe her eyes when she witnessed the graphic footage that saw the three-time National Football League (NFL) Pro Bowl running back selection would beat to a pulp a helpless woman, much more her fiancée at the time. She also added that there Rice should be a recipient of a severe punishment for his abuse.

The NFL has already severed ties with the Rutgers University alumnus who as of this moment is "just holding strong for my wife and kid that's all I can do right now." Aside from being let go of the Ravens, he also lost major money when Nike has severed ties with the player.

The NFL is also under close scrutiny by the public for stating that they have not watched the footage of the abuse. Even UFC head honcho Dana White has already slammed Commissioner Roger Goodell stating that he "should just get up and leave on his own" if the league was aware of the video and just handed out a 2-game suspension in March.

The story is now a worldwide trending topic with Rousey and even President Barack Obama offering critical statements on the video. On the other hand, boxing king Floyd Mayweather Jr. and NBA superstar Paul George have weirdly supported Rice in the time of the controversy.
