Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” collaborator Rihanna was at the Macy’s department store in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Aug. 31, Monday for the launch of her new perfume. However, the unveiling of the new Rihanna fragrance was interrupted by a group of anti-fur protesters.

Rihanna was introducing the perfume to a crowd of fans when the protesters burst in, waved placards and yelled at the Bajan singer. The protesters were then removed from the building by her security team, according to Mirror.

Rihanna’s newest fragrance for women is called Rogue Love, which claims to capture “the mischievous nature that lies within every woman.” It is available as an Eau de Parfum spray, Eau de Parfum rollerball, body lotion and a gift set.

Rihanna is yet to comment on the group of anti-fur protesters that burst in her new perfume launch. This was not the first time she was slammed by animal activists as she was criticised by PETA in 2012 for wearing snake-skin boots.

On the other hand, Rihanna revealed that she once banned her make-up artist from wearing a perfume that reminded her of a former boyfriend. She told E! News, “ There was even one point where my makeup artist was wearing a perfume I used to wear with an ex.”

According to Rihanna, the moment she smelled her make-up artist’s perfume, she told her she does now know exactly what she was wearing. However, she asked her not to wear the same perfume anymore.

For Rihanna, scent is something that connects a person to another person, a specific time, a memory or a place. She said the reason why she launched a new perfume is to create great memories hopefully for young ladies.

Wearing a pink dress similar to the one seen in the first campaign image, Rihanna said she wants young ladies to feel fun in her fragrance. She added that her fragrance is all about a fun and flirty mood, which represents young women.
