Rihanna gets another tattoo, inks ‘1988’ on her ankle

Rihanna has a new tattoo. The pop queen took to Instagram on Thursday and shared the image of the new ink with her 24.3 million followers. The 27-year-old singer had “1988” inked on her ankle -- the year of her birth.

She went to the celeb-favourite tattoo artist Bang Bang for the new design. Rihanna was earlier pictured heading to his tattoo parlour in her New York neighborhood on Wednesday. She hung out with rapper Travis Scott inside the studio, Mirror UK reported.

The “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer got "1988" inscribed on her right ankle. She shared a picture of the new ink on Instagram, with the caption: “Tagged by my dear friend @bangbangnyc.”

She was pictured at the tattoo parlour dressed casually in a simple ribbed white three-quarter sleeved top and hole sweatpants by W.I.A. And The R&B singer reportedly opted to go braless for the tattoo session. Popularly known as fashion chameleon, Rihanna’s chose to mix girly vibe with sporty aesthetic in her choice of street wear. The Barbados beauty was spotted relaxing with pals while puffing on a cigarette.

RiRi is known for being a huge fan of Bang Bang’s work, having previously received the controversial gun tattoo below her right armpit. The singer is also known for the bust of Queen Nefertiti on her rib cage, “shhh” and “love” on her fingers.
