Once sport personalities reach a certain threshold of fame and popularity, people are going to be scrambling to represent them. Cristiano Ronaldo has previously denied, albeit indirectly, any association with rapper Li'l Wayne's sports management company. However, a source revealed that Ronaldo and Li'l Wayne are indeed working together.

According to a TMZ article, Ronaldo and Wayne are "100% working together." Ronaldo's tweet stating that there wouldn't be a change in his current management was reportedly true because he was not totally getting rid of them. A source told TMZ that Ronaldo was just adding Wayne to handle all his affairs in the U.S, which include marketing, branding, modelling, and other sports management matter.

Recently, Ronaldo was spotted hanging out with Wayne's friend J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks at the Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, only fuelling up the rumours that the Real Madrid star player was truly working with the 31-year-old New Orleans native rapper. Exclusive snaps of Ronaldo's pool party in Las Vegas were shared on Twitter.

It has been revealed that Wayne was going to start his own sports management company and Ronaldo would be his first client. Wayne reportedly will be working with the company where Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes works.

Sports management companies will be swarming at Ronaldo because the footballer has just added another achievement in his long list of accolades. He has just been named as Goal.com's best player in the world. It was the third time that the award has been given to Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was happy with the new achievement. "It's a very big honour for me to have been chosen as the best player," he told Goal. Ronaldo said he was "sincerely grateful" for the award and did not forget to thank his millions of fans for their support.
