The much-awaited PS4 2.0 Firmware Update has been teased yet again, but this time, Sony has also announced a definitive release date. In the latest blog post via the PlayStation Blog Europe, the PS4 2.0 Firmware Update is now reportedly slated for an Oct. 28 release.

The spotlight has again been turned onto the Share Play, which appears to be the PS4 2.0 Firmware Update's biggest feature. The functions have been detailed, which includes the following:

- Share Screen: This feature lets your friend spectate so they can give you tips while you play. You don't need the PlayStation Plus to use the feature.

- Hand over my controller: For those who can't finish a level in a game, you can give the control to your friend. They can play the game even without needing a copy of the game or a PS Plus, but as the host of Share Play, you need the PS Plus subscription.

- Hand over another controller: As a way to play multiplayer uniquely, Share Play lets your friend join in as player two in a game even when he or she does not have a copy of the game. However, both of you will need to subscribe to PS Plus to enjoy the feature.

Season Pass Feature for Video And PS Store

If games had season pass from additional expansions, Sony is now introducing the Season Pass to the Video Unlimited and PlayStation Store. This will allow users of the PS Store to get more videos of shows for the PS3, according to PlayStation Blog.

For now, the feature supports the PS3 and PS Store, though support for the PS4, Blu-Ray disc players and BRAVIA TV is coming. How this works is that you only need to click on "Buy Season" when purchasing a series, and this will entitle you to purchase already released seasons as well as future ones, as these will already be part of your "My Videos" section of your account.

Apart from the new features and services coming to the PS4, there are also a number of games that will also be coming to the other platforms of the PlayStation. In fact, November is bringing in quite the load of new hard-hitting and big games to start off a holiday of gaming.

PlayStationing has compiled the complete list of games for the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita, which total a whopping 37 games. There are 16 games each for the PS4 and the PS3 and five for the PS Vita. This is already counting the games that are releasing for multi-PlayStation platforms.
